Weeks Two and Three: One Beautiful Blur
Meditations have become deeper, the days are starting to feel as though they have been put in fast forward and it is crazy to me that we only have one week left now*. I have taught and been taught multiple classes to ramp us up to teach even more before teaching the final master class during our last week here.
I have felt the full range of emotions these last two weeks and feel so grateful to have the support and camaraderie of my new friends and fellow students as we have all been in this together. When they call these month long training’s “intensive” they couldn’t be any more accurate but honestly now that its almost over I don’t think I would have it any other way. I have learned tools to get to know myself, to move past my challenges and shine my light to the world. While I haven’t exactly appreciated them in the last two weeks, hindsight is 20/20 and I can say that I will take a lot of these practices with me on my travels the next few months.
Since the last update we have also had two days off of fun in the sun with ohhhh so much ice cream, which is the Friday night ritual here, plus we sneaked in some extra servings!
The week two break was kicked off at funky pancake for breakfast. I got some insanely good chocolate pancakes with guava sauce and scoop ice cream as a special treat to balance that rich chocolate goodness. All the pancakes there are crazy, I posted the “funky pancake” picture as well because it basically looks like an edible rainbow with popcorn and tons of other goodies on it. A few of the girls and I walked off this decadent breakfast by heading to the beach clubs and hanging out in the pool with a view of the waves. I actually made it to two beach clubs that day after wandering down the beach and finding a second place to have late lunch/early dinner with a bigger group of the girls from training. Then slowly wandered back towards home while window shopping and of course we grabbed more ice cream because how could we just pass by? To wind down my sugar high I spent the evening reading by the pool and weirdly wound up going to bed pretty darn early that night.
Second day off started with much of the same, ice cream the evening before and then pancakes for breakfast, I got savory this time with a side of bacon! Then a bunch of us went to the spa where I got a pedicure and a haircut. Fully blissed-out and feeling fresh, a few girls and I spent the rest of the day moseying around and taking pictures. Creature of habit that I am, I had to come home and take a dip in the pool while we still had some sunshine. We ended the night with a bang and got the best pizza in Bali, added bonus was the gorgeous view from the rooftop dining area at La Baraca.
No matter what mood came over me through these last few weeks I would say that overall, this experience has taught me so much and I am grateful to say I have almost completed it.
*It was one week when I started writing this but its crazy busy here and time really does fly so by the time you all read this it will only be 3 more days here!
